Salesians of Don Bosco – SDB

We,  SDB Fathers and Brothers, are members of an international Religious Order in the Catholic Church, officially known as the Society of St. Francis de Sales, but more popularly known as Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB). St. John Bosco, our Founder and Father, popularly known as DON BOSCO,  began his work with a religious community of Brothers and Priests, known as the Salesians of Don Bosco. The Salesian Sisters, known as the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, is  also  a Catholic religious community of women founded by St. Maria Domenica Mazzarello and St. John Bosco.

Don Bosco also established a group called the Salesian Cooperators, who are lay men and women who live the spirituality and ministry of the Salesians in their workplace. Through its over 3000 Schools, Colleges, and Universities, Technical Schools and Youth Centres in over 125 countries, the Salesian Family serve all young people irrespective of  ethnic, cultural and religious differences or social inequalities.  Don Bosco’s Past Pupils are men and women who as young people, attended a Salesian school, club or parish, and like the Cooperators, live the Salesian Spirit at their workplace, home and society.
